Occupational Therapist Opportunity – Walter Reed NCR, Maryland

USGP is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to military service members, veterans, and their families at Walter Reed National Capital Region (NCR), MD.

Position Overview

• Location: Walter Reed NCR, MD
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Compensation: $59.58/hour + Health & Welfare Stipend

Qualifications

Education:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.

Certifications:

• NBCOT – National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

• At least 2 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) assessing and treating patients with neurologic and/or brain-injury conditions, including TBI, CVA, Brachial Plexus Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and related diagnoses.

Licensure:

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in any U.S. state or territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive range of Occupational Therapy services in accordance with clinical privileges and professional standards.
• Support patients managing PH/TBI and related comorbidities.
• Conduct patient evaluations using standardized assessments, clinical observation, interviews, and medical record reviews.
• Create and implement individualized, goal-oriented rehabilitation plans to restore functional independence and occupational performance.
• Apply therapeutic interventions to enhance muscle function, coordination, dexterity, range of motion, and other essential skills.
• Work with a diverse patient population, from infants to older adults.
• Maintain accurate documentation while utilizing basic computer and electronic medical record systems.
