Minimum Qualifications Education:
  • Graduate of an MRI education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Registered MRI Technologist (R.T. (MR)) – through ARRT
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time MRI technologist experience
  • Hands-on experience operating GE and Siemens MRI scanners
Licensure/Registration:
  • Current registration with ARRT as a Registered MR Technologist (R.T. (MR))

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Clearly explain procedures and provide compassionate care to alleviate patient anxiety
  • Accurately position patients and make necessary adjustments for optimal imaging
  • Perform a full range of MRI scans independently, in accordance with MTF policies and Joint Commission (JC) standards
  • Conduct daily equipment checks, quality control scans, and routine maintenance
  • Identify abnormalities during scans and alert physicians to urgent findings
  • Stock and manage MRI suite supplies; recommend repairs when imaging quality is impacted
  • Set up and program scanning protocols, including site-specific techniques
  • Operate independently, covering shifts without direct supervision when necessary
  • Differentiate between imaging artifacts and clinical findings; recognize equipment limitations

Benefits & Work Schedule • Competitive Pay • Standard Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (plus 1-hour lunch) scheduled between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM in the main laboratory (non-blood drive days). • Blood Drive Schedule: On blood drive days, shifts may occur between 3:00 AM – 12:00 AM.
